Who manufactures Surface laptops in 2026?

With the recent release of new Surface models, I’m curious about the company behind these laptops. It’s been a while since I looked into Microsoft’s manufacturing partnerships and supply chains. Are they still mainly using Intel processors, or have they shifted toward AMD or even ARM architectures in their latest devices?

I recall when the Surface Pro series generated a lot of buzz for its seamless integration with Windows. As someone with a background in cybersecurity, I’m particularly interested in how the hardware choices influence security features. Is there a noticeable difference in reliability or security between the current models and those from a few years ago?

Has anyone been following the changes in components or manufacturing processes? What do you find most interesting about their latest offerings?

Last I checked, Surface laptops are still mostly rolling with Intel, but they’ve been incorporating AMD into some models, which is kinda cool. As for security, I’ve noticed they’ve been stepping up features like hardware-based isolation and secure boot, definitely a notch above the older models. It’s interesting to see how they keep adapting with the tech landscape!
