As mobile threats continue to grow, many of us are left wondering if we should install antivirus software on our Android tablets. I’ve been thinking about this for my own device after hearing varying opinions from friends and colleagues. Some are firm believers in antivirus, while others say that Android’s built-in security is enough.
The risk really seems to depend on how we use our tablets. If you often download apps from third-party sources or connect to public Wi-Fi, it might make sense to add an extra layer of security. But if you mainly use the Google Play Store and follow safe online practices, do you really need antivirus software?
What’s been your experience with antivirus apps on Android? Do you feel more secure with one installed, or have you noticed any impact on your device’s performance?
