Do smart home devices actually help with sleep quality?

I’ve been experimenting with different smart home devices for a few weeks now, and I’m really curious about how they impact sleep quality. I set up a smart lighting system that simulates natural sunlight to wake me up gently, along with a white noise machine that operates on a schedule. Initially, I thought these were just gimmicks, but I’ve started to notice some changes in how I feel in the mornings.

That said, I can’t tell if the improvements are due to the devices or just my mindset. I still have nights where falling asleep is a challenge. Has anyone else experienced a noticeable difference in their sleep after using smart devices? Which specific gadgets or setups do you think have made the biggest difference?

Also, how do you strike a balance between using technology and ensuring a restful night? Any tips or favorite devices you’d recommend?

I tried a smart sleep tracker last year, and it kinda blew my mind how much data it gave me about my sleep patterns. I still struggled some nights, but just seeing the metrics pushed me to change my bedtime routine. Maybe not all tech is a gimmick after all! What else are you looking at trying?
