Do Bluetooth CD players still have a place in 2026?

With streaming and digital music becoming so prevalent, I’m curious how many people are still using CD players, especially the ones with Bluetooth speakers. I came across a few models that seemed interesting, and I’m debating whether it’s worth getting one for my audio setup.

I love the concept of enjoying classic CD quality while also having the convenience of wireless sound. However, I can’t shake the feeling that these might just be a novelty item now. While I definitely appreciate the nostalgia factor, I wonder if a Bluetooth-connected CD player offers any real advantages over streaming everything online. For those of you who have used both, how do they stack up against good quality Bluetooth speakers?

I’d love to hear about your experiences with Bluetooth CD players. Are there any specific models you’d recommend or suggest avoiding?

I still have a Bluetooth CD player and honestly, it’s a nice mix of old and new. There’s something about physically owning the CDs that just feels better to me, plus I think audio quality can be better than some streams. If you’re into the whole tactile experience, it might be worth it! I have a Sony model that sounds great, but I’d avoid cheaper brands—those usually struggle with connection issues.

Bluetooth CD players can definitely still be fun, especially if you’re into physical media and the nostalgia of flipping through your CD collection. I recently got one and love that I can play my old favorites, but honestly, the sound quality compared to a good streaming setup is kinda close. It’s more about the experience than practicality, I think, but if you’re into that vibe, it can be worth it!
