Are Resin Printers Safe to Use in Small Spaces?

I’ve really enjoyed using my resin printer for design projects, but I’m starting to question the safety of using it in my small home studio. The strong smell and the warnings on the resin bottles make me a bit uneasy. I’ve heard differing opinions on whether the fumes can be harmful, and whether having proper ventilation is enough to keep things safe.

I want to keep creating with these printers, but my health is a priority. For those of you who regularly use resin printers, what safety measures do you implement? Have you run into any health issues over time? Also, are there specific brands or types of resin that are safer to use in confined spaces?

Definitely make sure you have good ventilation. I use a fume extractor and keep a window open while printing, which helps a lot. I’ve also switched to a water-washable resin that smells way less and is supposedly safer. Just be careful and keep an eye on any signs of irritation!

Definitely invest in a good air purifier with a HEPA filter and keep the windows open while printing if you can. I’ve been using a low-odor resin from a brand called Siraya Tech, and it’s way less intense on the smell. Just remember to wear gloves and a mask when handling the resin!
