With all the buzz surrounding Amazon gadgets released in 2026, I can’t help but question whether they’re really worth buying. I’ve been exploring some of the new smart home devices and gadgets that hit the market last year. While some of them look impressive, the reviews on their performance and reliability have been pretty mixed.

As someone who enjoys tinkering with electronics, I often modify devices to enhance their performance. However, I’m hesitant to spend money on gadgets that might not last long. For instance, I’ve seen people rave about the new smart display, but others have called it a glorified paperweight just a few months in.

I’ve tried the Echo Show 15, and honestly, it’s cool but not as useful as I hoped. The screen’s nice, but it feels kind of clunky, and I’ve had some connectivity issues. If you get one, definitely check for updates regularly; that seems to help a bit. Generally, I’d say maybe wait until the next refresh to see if they improve.
